We are concerned about the number of failed appointments and appointments which are cancelled at short notice. Therefore we have adopted a policy which we will bring into force from the beginning of October 2015.
For you it means that your treatment will take longer and the brace may stop working. The practice is always busy and rescheduling a new appointment may take a few weeks. This will add time to your treatment. Braces need to be checked and adjusted regularly. If your brace is not checked it may stop working or, worse, move your teeth the wrong way.
To allow the practice to work efficiently we need to ensure all the time slots are taken up and used. Without patients we cannot operate and so a charge will be made to compensate for the lost time.
Please contact the practice by telephone (Stirling 01786 475997, Falkirk 01324 621130) or email (Stirling or Falkirk) to advise us even if it is simply to cancel your appointment. One of the reception staff will contact you again to rearrange your appointment if you leave a message. We can then offer your appointment to someone else who is waiting to be seen. Please provide as much notice as possible.
This will apply to patients undergoing active treatment or in retention.
If you fail to attend a new patient consultation we will write to ask if you wish to attend for treatment before arranging another appointment.
If you fail to attend a new patient consultation we will write to ask if you wish to attend for treatment before arranging another appointment. Furthermore you will be invoiced for the consultation fee which has to be paid before the next appointment. However, if you attend as a gesture of goodwill you will only be charged for one consultation.
